Marine Graduation Foundation is seeking funds funds to ensure that NO New MARINE is standing alone without the support of his or her family after the Emblem Ceremony on Family Day
Here is a link to that Ellen LaMotte told me about . I think its a pretty good organization. She has sent a number of boxes to Iraq. The Post Office has 2 size boxes and they can be mailed for $8.95 no matter how much they weigh. Reading the comments posted by the soldiers is interesting and heartbreaking. www.AnySoldier.com
To get one of the CD's called (And That's What We Do) please e-mail Larry Tackett at cobracustom@roadrunner.com, this song is great or e-mail us at vetcarshow2002@aol.com

The 9/11HelpAmerica Foundation
Our short term goals are to locate military families or individuals that have been affected by the War On Terror and try to help them with direct donations, and hopefully learn what their needs are and how we may be able to help. Our long term goals are to do a good job at our short term goals. To do this we need help ... Get involved, and together we can make a difference. http://www.911helpamerica.com/

Soldiers Organized Services/S.O.S
We receive calls from our military men and women who are stranded at the Palm Springs International Airport, especially after the last bus for Twentynine Palms has left. When we do, we contact one of our tireless volunteer drivers to take that service member and give them free transportation to the Marine Corp. Base.
Many of these service members do not have the $200 taxicab fare needed to get to their duty station. Because of our efforts, no veteran will ever be stranded at the airport overnight, be alone in a strange town, and ever have to sleep on the floor or benches of the airport.
The men and women of Soldiers Organized Services take these service men and women to their base, free-of-charge, in recognition of their noble service for our country!

DOG TAGS FOR KIDS
We can help send dog tags to troops in Iraq, Kuwait, and Afghanistan so they can send them to their kids. This is something easy to ship and something the kids can hang on to until Dad or Mom gets back home. Your donation will help send a tag in the appropriate service color to an appreciative service member. There is NO charge to the service member or his family for these tags. As of April 15th Dog Tags For Kids have sent over 235,000 tags to the troops in Iraq to send home to their children.

Association of Amputee Surfers
We are a Non-Profit Organization made up of amputees, those related to amputees, and those who work with amputees and others with disabilities. We want to Promote, Inspire, Educate, and Rehabilitate (PIER) those with disabilities, especially our veteran hero’s, through Adaptive Surfing and other fun safe outdoor activities that all can participate in. We also provide support to those with disabilities to help achieve their goals no matter what those goals may be. We also provide feedback to Medical staff, Therapist, and Manufactures of prosthetic devices for enhancing design and performance of prosthetic equipment in sports and everyday life.
The Moms of Military Prayer and Support Group (MOMS), is a group of mothers and wives (open to ALL women related to anyone serving in the military) of loved ones currently serving in the United States military. We gather to pray and support our troops and military families around the country. We support each other with hugs and prayers and share our experiences and ideas: traveling to boot camp for graduation ceremonies, or making it through our loved ones deployments. Most importantly, we support our soldiers, marines and sailors with our prayers, love and friendship as they go about the difficult task of protecting this great land. Although we began in Orange County, CA, we offer prayer and support across the U.S. Many unique and supportive friendships with other MOMS have been possible across the state;, connecting MOMS together. We hope to reach out to every Military Mom and share the experiences that bind us with one heart for our loved ones.
The MOMS stand firmly on the Word of God and in the power of prayer. We lift up our loved ones in prayer daily for their protection and safety no matter where they are serving! Unlike most support groups, we are a prayer group first! We can offer prayer, emotional support and military information, and more importantly connect you with other Military MOMS either through a local Chapter or simply through emails.
